(31) Intune Device Configuration Profiles for Office, Edge and OneDrive using Catalog Settings

I decided to create a post to share all the required settings are commonly used for most organisations today. This all can be achievable via https://endpoint.microsoft.com/ using profile type: Settings Catalog.


Navigate to https://endpoint.microsoft.com then select Devices then select Configuration Profiles then select Create profile.


Select the following:

Platform: Windows 10 and later

Profile Type: Settings catalog








For Microsoft Edge (Catalog Settings)

Enter the following:

Name: Windows 10/11 - Microsoft Edge Settings

Description: Optional


Under Configuration Settings, in the search Settings picker, enter the following:

  • Configure Internet Explorer integration

  • Force synchronization of browser data and do not show the sync consent prompt

  • Hide the First-run experience and splash screen













For OneDrive (Catalog Settings)

Enter the following:

Name: Windows 10/11 - OneDrive Settings

Description: Optional


Under Configuration Settings, in the search Settings picker, enter the following:

  • Silently move Windows known folders to OneDrive

  • Show notification to users after folders have been redirected: (Device)

  • Tenant ID: (Device)

  • Silently sign in users to the OneDrive sync app with their Windows credentials

  • Use OneDrive Files On-Demand















For Microsoft Outlook (Catalog Settings)

Enter the following:

Name: Windows 10/11 - Outlook Default Settings

Description: Optional


Under Configuration Settings, in the search Settings picker, enter the following:

  • Disable First Run Movie (User)

  • Disable Office First Run on application boot (User)

  • Turn off Coming Soon (User)

  • Disable Opt-in Wizard on first run (User)

  • Enable Customer Experience Improvement Program (User)

  • Automatically configure profile based on Active Directory Primary SMTP address (User)
