(75) Microsoft Purview - Applying Sensitivity labels

After creating your sensitivity labels, you can start applying the sensitivity labels to SharePoint sites and Teams, more information can be found here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/sensitivity-labels-teams-groups-sites?view=o365-worldwide

Instructions:

For SharePoint:

1. Navigate to https://admin.microsoft.com/adminportal/home#/homepage

2. Select Show All, then under Admin centers, select SharePoint which will re-direct to https://domain.sharepoint.com/

3. Expand Sites, then select Active sites.

4. Select each site, then select Edit

5. Then select Settings, then select Sensitivtiy label on which applies.

6. Save changes.

Repeat the process for all other Active sites.

For Microsoft Teams Admin:

1. Navigate to https://admin.microsoft.com/adminportal/home#/homepage

2. Select Show All, then under Admin centers, select Teams which will re-direct to https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/dashboard

3. Select Teams, then select Manage Teams.

4. Select the Teams group, then select Edit.

5. Then apply the Sensitivity to "Internal" or whichever label applies. Save any changes.
