(142) Microsoft Intune - Power Plan Always On

I have been using this device configuration profile for quite sometime now especially for any customer's Kiosk devices where it has proven a better use over using https://soeintunedevice.wixsite.com/home/post/116-windows-intune-custom-power-option-as-a-win32-app.


Navigate to https://intune.microsoft.com/ then select Devices then By platform: Windows then select Configuration profiles. Then select Create then select New Policy then select Profile type: Settings catalog then select Next.





Under Basics, enter the name of the profile then select Next.








Under Configuration settings, select Add settings then in 'Search for a setting'






  • Turn off the display (on battery)

  • Turn off the display (plugged in)

  • Specify the system sleep timeout (on battery)

  • Specify the system sleep timeout (plugged in)

  • Select an active power plan

  • Turn Off the hard disk (on battery)

  • Turn Off the hard disk (plugged in)

  • Select Lid Close Action On Battery

  • Select Lid Close Action Plugged In


Configure to the following:






























Under Scope tags, leave as default and select Next. Under Assignments, select your required group.

Under Review + Create, review the settings then select Create.


















For the policy to take effect, go to Company Portal > Settings > Sync
